Maybe Aliah's turn..

Surprisingly training aniq for potty was not as hard as i thought. After few days of consistent training, he roughly got the whole idea already. Even though he gave me a lot of false alarm, i know that i need to be patient.

Kadang kandang ada masanya dia terkucil sikit before he screaming his way to the toilet. But at least he made the effort...
He still need to wear his diaper for his nap time and bedtime...
I was wondering whether Aliah's turn to train.....hmm.. is she ready?

Golden pillow

This picture above was taken after we ATE half of it.

I’ve always wanting to eat the Golden pillow chicken curry bun for ages after it was certificated halal long time ago. So my hubby granted my wish at last…we call for delivery at 12.00 and the lady informed me that they will reach our place at 1.30pm and I said ok happily…

After the food was delivered, we opened the cardboard and saw a big beautiful bun. The bread was soft and sweet accompanied by thick curry chicken…mmm….
I think the bun is suitable for 4-6 servings.

After we fully loaded with energy, we started painting our master bedroom preparing for the coming Hari Raya.

Geylang Serai

We went to Geylang Serai to buy some stuff especially materials for my curtain.
Hari Raya is not that far away so I saw a lot of people buying ready-made curtains and all the curtains, which on display are so beautiful indeed…. I kept ogling at them all the time.

We ate our lunch at Haig Road. My hubby loves the Roti John ($3.00) there and the children had some too.

No more mess frm Aniq

Today is the third day I'm potty training Aniq and so far soo goood....there's no more "accidents" on the floor and no more messy.
I think he got the general idea already what to do in the toilet.
Though he do not want to use the toilet seat as he prefer to stand to pee, my hubby and I decided to take it slow from there.

First day training

I had started potty training yesterday and did not have much successful experience to share yet. The twins urinated thrice and pooped twice on the floor yesterday. It’s really not easy at all.

Bright side is that Aniq is already feeling comfortable sitting on the toilet for 5 minutes holding a book while I shh shh… urging him to ‘produce’ something.
I enlightened my hubby about how difficult it is when he reached home after work.
He said he’s been asking around and hi friends told him that it takes more than 5 minutes in the toilet.

So after dinner, my husband put Aniq on the toilet and at last he pee after 30 minutes. We praised Aniq for his achievement and made a big deal out of it hoping that he remembered the toilet is for pee pee and poo poo.

I decided that I should not be ambitious and train Aniq first then Aliah.

Potty training coming soon...

This coming Monday, I shall start potty training and I hope it will go smoothly…(like real…who am I kidding?).
For a starter, I already asked my hubby to roll away the carpet and kept it in the storeroom. And then, my hubby bought this book called “It’s Potty Time” featuring a toilet flushing chip to produce a Toilet Flush Sound at the bottom of the book. With this book and a little patience, I hope it will be an easy training for them and rewarding for me.
I read the book to them few times a day familiarising them with terms like “Pee Pee”, Yaak (short term for “Berak” instead of “Poo Poo” which actually sounds better).
I hope Aniq and Aliah will be diaper-free by their third birthday...insyallah!!

Noodles for lunch

This recipe is from the celebrity mummy Asmah Laili and i had tried the recipe twice. The recipe called "Mee Goreng Tomato Basah" and my children like to eat it too.

Today I’m feeling like going to Library and try to find the book I have always wanted to read for sometime. It’s a Malay novel called Diari Ibunda 2 by Rohani Din. I have read the part 1 and i really love it! Most of the national library in the north area does not have it. HHmmm……

One night stay

My husband had one night stay hotel voucher at Hotel Conrad Centennial, which he redeemed from Starhub. We only need to top up $200 in cash together with that voucher. I had made reservation for the room 2 days in prior.

That day had finally arrived and we were ushered to our room by this lady attendant. The room was amazing and spectacular!!

The moment the children laid their eyes on the bathtub, both of them insisted that we gave them a bath right away. It was hilarious!! Seriously, the bathroom was so awesome that even I can’t wait to indulge myself in it.

The Hotel gave us some local fruits in a wooden bowl and a beautiful box of chocolates as a complimentary. So class gitu…!
We really enjoyed being in the room for so long until our tummies started to growl.
For dinner, we had fish n chips, breaded chicken and ice-creams at Swenson. It was nice not to think about dirty laundry, preparing meals, clean up the children’s mess once in a while. Thank you hubby for the pleasant day!!

16/07/08

The children and I went to meet my husband after work at Raffles Place Mrt Station yesterday.
We went to Lau Pa Sat for our dinner. We bought Mee hoon goreng ikan bilis ( it’s quite nice! )from Indian stall and Nasi ayam goreng.

Cousins

My parent and siblings were gathered at my place for lunch so i took this opportunity to snap some pictures of the twins with their cousins. The eldest cousin is Nur Atiqah, followed by Aniq & Aliah, Muhd Aqil and lastly ( but i think there's more to come, insyallah) Muhd Aiman. Their second name is all begin from the letter “A”. Cute kan…
I hope my little darlings won't have socialising problems as they have many cousins to mingle with.

Motherhood

"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER,"
A word that means the world to me.

Raising them to be good muslims and good human beings is my life-long mission. Insyaallah.

Bully @ playground

My girl, Aliah kena bullied at the playgound this afternoon...poor girl came running and sobbing to me. Apparently, this boy who is bigger in size scared her off so that she could not play the slide. I told him not to disturb my girl and let her play. He just kept quiet.

Later his mother who was nearby came to ask her son. Suprisingly, her son denied everything.
I went to her and explain what had happened. Do you know what she said to me?
"OOHHHhh, i thought my son disturb your child." i was like "HHuhh!!" Geram betul..

Knowing that i can't expect apology, i just took my children off the playgound.
