photos of making home-made pizza

Aniq broke the camera after busy exploring it and i ended up using hp's camera to take these pictures. ok..let's move on because it feels painful even talking about it.
Back to the topic, this is the best instant yeast so far to me. I've tried redman's yeast before and it doesn't work well for me.

This is what frothy should look like. This is the mixture of warm water, yeast and sugar and put aside in a covered bowl after 10-15 mins.

Putting in olive oil and the frothy yeast thingy into the sifted flour+salt.

With the help of my buddy(kitchen aid), the soft dough was easily formed after 5 mins. Sure it take longer time if kneading by hands.

Usually i would knead it by hand (final touch) for about 1 min on a lightly floured surface juz to be certain that the dough is soft before i leave it rise to double its size naturally. It's usually take around 1 hr depending on the temperature and the amount of draught.

This is my pizza's topping sauce look like. There's some little chunks here and there. Next time, i would like to try to smoothing out the diced tomatoes using blender, i'm sure that it will gives me more smoother consistency.

First step, punch the air out of the pizza dough.

2nd step, rollout the dough using a rolling pin, or shape it with hands…until i achieved my desired thickness and diameter.
i was not adventurous enough to try tossing my dough in the air like the expert pizza makers do in case it might landed on my head. Lol

3rd step, spread the sauce evenly

4th step, Scattered shredded mozarella cheese all over.

5th step, added some toppings such as pepperoni(DH's favourites), capsicum and button mushroom

Lastly, topped it off with mozarella cheese again all over toppings before sliding it off to the oven. It's a must to preheat the oven 5 mins at least before baking so that the pizza will be evenly baked.

oh yeah, this is what my home-made pizza look like.

Meeting a long-time friend

Last Saturday, i met up with my long-time friend Ana and her son, Amar Sufi aged 5 years old, 1 yr senior than my kids. Right now, she's 4 months plus pregnant and she's hoping for a girl this time.

We ate at McDonald for lunch and while the kids finished theirs, the mommies still muching away. So the kids started to run aimlessly and Aniq clumsily fall down and accidentally knocked a table, where this erderly man was putting his coffee. He looked so angry that he stood up and asking around whose children is this in a loud booming voice. Oh oooh..

Frankly i was quite shaking up when i heard his angry voice. Picking up courage and admitted that Aniq is my son and i apologised to him and i was surprised to see how quickly he let it go and spare me his nagging. Phew!!

The kids were getting along quite well that it was hard to seperate them or to make them stay still even for a short time. All three of them were quite a handful.

Taking an afternoon break sipping coffee and a warm chocolate mudpie that we shared.
Asking a malay waitress for help us to take a picture or two.

What now, Aliah?

I thought Aliah's crying phase was already over until this week, she's back crying in fear. This morning after i gave them a bath and about to dress them, Aliah started crying once she saw her uniform trying to tell me that she doesn't want to got to school. I wondered why she's back to dreading school now...

Tomorrow, Dh had a day off so he can see for himself and maybe he can figure out how to deal with it. I juz want her to be happy, is that so difficult?

Macaroni cheese

This is not the traditional mac n cheese which i absolutely love. I found this insteresting recipe a while ago from a blog which i fequently visited.
This is the 2nd time i make this and my family simply adore this especially Dh who's not a fan of traditional mac n cheese. But he's definetely can eat this.
The 2nd picture showed that i increased the cheddar cheese input after the thing had already been baked to give that extra kick. The macroni was cooked in traditional pasta sauce and i added some chopped chili padi to it.
To me, this tasted more like lasagna compared to mac n cheese.

Twilight novel by stephenie meyer

Recently, Dh said to me that he would love to buy storybooks for Aliah once able to read after noticing how Aliah love being around books. Then i lightly commented that how come i don't see him buying books for me even though he knew how much i love to read. I even used to read in the toilet in my younger days...while doing my business..he..he

I guess it made him thinking and last week, Dh bought me twilight novel which i love to have even though I've already watched the movie in DVD. It's hard to get this book in library becasue it was always on loan. It seems forever...

That was the first time he bought me a book. I was pleased, of course. See...sometimes a man needs a hint or to be told directly.

Twilight is a young-adult vampire-romance novel written by author Stephenie Meyer. Dh knew that i totally love the character of Edward Cullen the vampire who is overly protective and so madly in love with his lover Bella Swan. The story is so damn romantic and it's hard for me to put down book once i started reading it. The author didn't use a lot of big words in it mostly so it suits young reader too.

Before, I wondered what's the fuss was when i saw lots of people reading this novel especially in the train.

The difference between the movie and the novel is that the movie is more direct while the book contain more details to the story.
