It's here at LAST! Phew....

My menses is finally here..today! I've been late for more than a week and even though my guts been telling me that i'm not pregnant but i was worried a wee bit that i could be wrong. Because i prefer to detect pregnancy in early stage so that i can get my body ready for it and relax. Let's just say that i'm still bumped over my miscarriage( 2nd pregnancy) and i blame myself a little for not listening to my body at that time...

The reason as to why i was late is all my own's doing.....i started back on eating yasmin pills (contraceptive pills) last month on the second day of my menses for less than a fortnight before i call it a quit. Why? Because i found that yasmin pills didn't suit me anymore...my heart races till i'm always restless, felt tired all the time and many more and i wondered why that didn't happened to me before the first time i tried the yasmin pills. Well...i decided not to take that anymore....ever ever again.

As happy as i am to have my period today...i feel very weak and the cramp is so ....arrrgghhh.....PAINFUL!! Can't cook today, can't stand up for so long....makan maggie ler jawabnya. Hubby is working 2 shift today so he is spared from my moody behaviour ...So sorry kiddos...i need to drag you both down....eating instant noodles with me...lol....

Day 3 in Bangkok

Went to MBK by tut tut...only 20bht.

A row of colourful lion's head.

Siam's ocean world.

Day 3

Since we feeling a little recovery from feeling sad, we decided to enjoy our day no matter what.
We went to MBK by tut tut for 20bht only...Imagine that! I noticed that everytime we entered to each shopping , there was a metal detector entrance door(something like that). I don't know what they hope to find but the security guards always let us pass by without checking anything even though there's a beeping sound...of course in our case cause we had our camera, video cam, handphone and etc...hhmmm....don't know whether it's necessary in the first place.
When we wanted to eat lunch at their foodcourt...we need to purchase coupons as money substitute to the food vendors. So leceh...especially when the kids already grumbling in hunger...But it was easily subsided when we put the yellow rice and curry chicken into our mouth because it was so delicious and it's Cheap!!....only 35bht.
We got some slippers for the kids and some clothes for me. At last i got a pink blouse finally and it got princess iishh like sleeves and i love it. Aniq kept wanting Ben Ten stuffs and Aliah on the hand as usual wanted Disney Princess stuffs. So they kept pointing here and there ...saying this and that....i easily got a headache due to all the commotions.
But anyway it was a beautiful and windy day and we really enjoyed ourselves. But in the same time, i wish a wee bit that we could stick to the original plan .....haha

Day 2 of our Bangkok Trip

Pentiful multi coloured taxi..they are all fitted with meters. Nevertheless, some unscrupulous drivers will refuse to turn on the meter and quote you a flat, inflated price. I think this particularly happens in certain tourist areas, especially infront of hotel's entrance. Usually we get out of the taxi and flag another one down if the requested amount is just too much.

Love this picture and Aliah's headband...their clothes excluding their jeans were bought the day before and i would suggest for people not to bring their clothes to bangkok because the tees are quite cheap over there.

At the side of Singapore Embassy, we took some cute pictures despite the horrible incident.
Dh is still brooding/shocked over what happened and he wanted to show it on camera despite the yummy rice he had on his hand...sedih2 jugak...makan nak sedap jugak...issh iisshh.

Since we can't carry out the plan i drew for the second day in Bangkok, we decided to chill in our room and sang out loud while listen to the tracks in our hp. So hubby cried his heart out to Sang Sudu!
Day 2
When i woke up in the morning ..how i wish that whatever happened last night was just a nightmare but i was slapped into reality when i saw my hubby's sad face...well he's been crying. It's been a while i saw him cry like that. Told myself that i will not shed another tear because it won't do us any good if we think too much of it....so i comforted him into thinking that maybe this could be a blessing in disguise...eg. that we are not destined to visit Dreamworld this time and bad things could happen ...stuff like that.
So first thing first...we went to nearest police station by taxi and a quite handsome police officer(sempat kau linda) took our statement...when he heard that our bag was stolen at Central World, he told us he could not act on it because this police station does not cover that area and we came to the wrong station. So i kindda beg him to just write the report because i don't really care for the investigation and i just want to proceed to Singapore Embasy with a police report. After a short pause, he agreed. Even though he talked to us in a slow and different accent that hard for us to comprehend..but i appreciate that he was being kindda nice to us.
So after we got our police report, we walked around at Indra complex hopping to find a photo shop to take passport size photo as requested by Mr Chee (Singapore embassy guy). But let me tell you that it was hard to find one because all shops were close to each other and my eyes grew tired easily from searching photo shop. So we gave up and called Mr Chee to tell him that...and he said it's okay..maybe he can try to do something about it.

We took taxi again to Singapore Embassy which is 10-15mins away(less than 100bht). At the entrance, there was this Chinese looking lady (actually a Thai) approached us and told us to write our name in the log book. Dh surprisingly saw our name already written down on the book and he asked the lady about it...and she told us that someone returned the bag with passports and then realised that we are the owner of the bag and passports. But unfortunately Aniq's passport remained missing...could the thief hurriedly took the money and the Aniq's passport might slipped out due to that?? i wonder and Only God knows.
So we still paid 360bht to Mr Chee ...better than paying more than 1000bht right? The frustrating part when Mr Chee told us to come back tomorrow because the server was down for quite sometime. He told Dh that he can come alone tomorrow for less hassle. So we took taxi back to our hotel and since it was such a long day, we just took our dinner and returned to our nest. Bought some snacks and some drinks from the Family Mart at lobby's floor and relax for the rest of the evening. We even sang out aloud to lift up our spirit and i wished that the next day would a better day for us. And it was, btw....

Day 1 at Bangkok..inclusive 1 tragic moment..

Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok new airport) Thailand

Checking in.

Loves loves loves the variety shoes displayed there..

This is the last happy moment of the day before we realised that hubby's sling bag was gone..i shall reveal all later.....what really happened on day 1.....

Day 1

Reached Singapore Airport by taxi which cost us around $23-25... at about 8 plus in the morning. We took our simple breakfast first at Kopitiam before check in.. Told the AirAisa counter staff who is a malay lady about our first time flying and asked her to advise us what to do roughly even though we already knew all the stuff she told us...but i would say the malay lady was polite and gentle to us which i appreciated very much...I've heard from my friend that the staffs are very unfriendly but that didn't happened to us....hhmmm....weird

She even told us that the plane we're going to take is smaller than the regular one...which i don't mind at all and she seated us 3 by 1 even though i would prefer 2 by 2 seating. She told us to book our seat next time because their seats are easily occupied even in non-peak period so it's best to play safe if we don't want our kids to seat by themselves,....oh no..no...we don't want that to happen, do we?

We entered Gate44 at 10.15am and waited for our plane which supposed to go off at 10.55am. I lost my Bodyshop lipgloss along the way but Aniq found $2 note...(still making a loss since my lipgloss cost way much more than that...lol).

We reached there at 12.30pm bangkok time (singapore time is 1.30pm) just an hour difference.

Took a shuttle bus to the Airport. Aniq and Aliah were thirsty and kept pestering me so we quickly go to the nearest store and bought 2 can of water and 2 small packs of Oreo and we were robbed daylight when we paid 315bth for it..(Around $11-12)..i guess we were too powered by hunger and thirst till we can't use our brain to do simple mental sum...

Anyway...we went to level 1 to take taxi-meter to our hotel and cost 430bht(inclusive of 50bht surcharge)..the journey is about half an hour long. Good news is that we were upgraded to family room type which consist one king size bed and a single bed. The bathroom was so spacious and not to mention that the hotel has this family mart which open 24hrs on the lobby so it's very convenient...in case we are thirsty or hungry in the middle of the night.
Went to Maedah's restaurant for lunch which serves malaysian/Arabic/Thai food and after eating there few times..i would say their food were all not bad at all.. we ordered 3 plates of rice, sweet and sour fish, garlic bread and potato omelette and it cost 535bht altogether...
After our delightful lunch, we went to Pantip Plaza just to look around but since we don't intend to buy anything from there, we move on quickly to Platinum Fashion mall(my fav mall of all). It is the largest wholesale clothing mall....usually you have to buy more than 3 apparrels to enjoy the wholesale price or else they would sell you at retail price...that's how it works over there.. After that, we went to Pratunam complex and most of the shops were closed already by 8pm so there's nothing much to see...since we were all famished and had not taken our dinner, we walked our way to Central world which is nearby..
And that is where all the drama happened....I remembered that we took like forever to track down a halal restaurant called Eat's my world so the kids were getting grumpy...i brought them to ice-cream parlour and sat there for a break and ordered 2 cups of yogurt ice-cream for the kiddos. After goofing around with our camera, we made a last search and finally we spotted the place. There were 2 restaurant looked combined together but actually seperated by a divider...and we sat at the wrong place till a thai lady in tudung spotted us and told us nicely that this place is not halal...and ushered us to the right place...Dh and i were laughing for making a fool out of ourselves...that is when Dh unknowingly put his sling bag at the sofa beside Aniq together with our purchases..and to think that the sling bag was stolen under our nose without us realising it is simply heartbreaking...well for me...i don't even know that Dh took off his sling bag that time. So when it's time to pay for our meal...i guess you all know the gabra look on our faces when we realised Dh's sling bag was gone..i mean GONE!!.
Immediatetly, my legs were trembled and i was speechless, my tears were running down my cheeks non stop action...it's like i couldn't believe what had just happened. The sling bag had our 4 passport and our money(13,000 bht which is about $500 sing dollars) Already told Dh to seperate the money in 2-3 different places but i guess my words fell on deaf ears. Luckily i still have my own miserable amount of Thai bht money in my pocket and with that i paid for the meal...
The girls in the restaurant were very sympathetic of us and with their help, the security officers were informed of the situation and we made a report at the Information Counter....I cried all the way back while holding Aliah's hand. We informed a hotel staff and he called Singapore Embassy for us and Dh talked to this officer call Mr Chee and we have to meet him the next day at 4pm for issuing travel documents and it would cost 360bht for each person.
After bathing and putting the kids to sleep, Dh and i cried quietly on the bed...i told myself not to blame Dh because i believe he wouldn't want this to happen on purpose and he was distracted by the kids and he didn't realise what he's doing till it's too late....i prayed to allah for his mercy and take pity on my kids...and even cried on my sejadah...i also called my mum and told her what happened and again i cried...my mum sounded worried when she heard my voice.
I went through a number of stages when i realized the passports were missing..panic, fear, anger and finally acceptance. Everything happens for a reason....But i would still say this ...biar seribu kali hilang barang...jangan sampai hilang anak...cause they are the real treasure of my life. And somehow i feel comforted when i think about it.... so this is how the Day 1 in Bangkok turned out for me...scary huh...

Never been this far....

It's a size of my palm..

I already checked the Prayer times for Bangkok,

Subuh: 5.26am Syuruk: 6.36am Zohor: 12.31pm Asar: 3.52pm Margrib: 6.52pm Isyak: 7.32pm I'm glad that i bought a set telekung for travel purpose and based on the picture above, you can see how small it is, right...a space saver for your luggage! Most likely i'll be doing solat Qasar dan Jamak...which i always practise when i'm away.

Majlis Khatam Al-quran

My first attempt making Pulut Kuning..Topped it with egg omelette.

Rendang Ayam on the peak of everything. I made 30 packets of this and luckily Dh was around last Friday to help me carrying all the stuff.oh boy..it was so heavy..
The majlis was a joyous one with 20+ people including my mum around to witness and i tried to keep myself steady because i'm a person who will get nervous easily with so many people focusing on me...haha
But alhamdullilah everything went smoothly and on the same day i received news that kamisah had given birth to a healthy baby boy (3.09kg)..A good beroqah day for all.

My plan for our family trip.

i feel that it has been ages since i last blog...well, it does feels like that way for me...
Dh was in afternoon shift today so i have the whole day almost to myself as long i get the kids fed, clean and their homework done..i can get the rest of the time to myself...at least i tried to.

Just to let you all know that i'm a LITTLE organise freek because i like to plan properly before i do anything....
First of all, i've already made my own notes in my organiser book about the place/shopping/night market places that i'm intend to visit and also about halal dining places because i don't like to waste time researching only when i'm there....
I even checked the Bangkok's weather because i need to know whether i need to bring umbrella or not and so far the weather prediction is between 34c to 23c (scattered clouds-stated in the website which maybe in my interpretation, it means partly cloudy, i guess)..anyway i'm glad that the weather prediction seems lovely...not too hot...not too cold just the way i like it but of course this is just the prediction...sesungguh Allah yg menentu segalanya..

I only bring 1 jeans (excluding the pants i'll be wearing that day) and only 2 tops because i'll be buying clothes so i rather save spaces for other stuffs..ahakz...just talking about it already made my heart racing and excited .....

This is my plan of my 4days/3nights bangkok trip

Day1 (Friday)
will be visiting Platinum Fashion Mall, Pratunam complex, Central World, Pantip plaza, Gaysorn Plaza..

Day2(Saturday)
Chatuchak market, mbk, Siam paragon/Centre/Discovery
(might try to visit the Siam Ocean world)

Day3 (Sunday)
Dreamworld
Hope that we won't be running out of cash by the Day 3...lol

Day 4 (monday)
will be doing a last minute shopping if needed before heading to Airport...

This is what i've planned (hubby shake legs only huh...)hehehe...Having a plan is like winning half the battle...

Ps: Tomorrow we will be doing mini shopping and exchanged currency for the trip and Dh promised to bring me to Secret recipe tomorrow for lunch to indulge on my favourite cakes...cheesecake and chocolate indulgence. Yipeee!!!!

Stuff they do and they like

Today i assume that the kids will learn how to make Tuna sandwiches based on the list that the teacher gave us last week to bring Tuna(plain) and 4 slices of cheese. School is so much fun nowadays....

Right now, my kids are really into singing the Alif Ba Ta song and both of them keep asking me when is the next ngaji class...is it in 3 more days...or in 2 more days...things like that....hhmm really glad that they really enjoyed it....

Sarpino's home delivery

Double pepperoni pizza
Can't remember the name of this one-except it has chicken topping.

Honey chicken...i regret ordering this...the taste is how they look like...Sooo normal...and unappetising.

The beef lasagna....haiz...a little dissapointing too..it didn't contain any white sauce in it.

Overall i would say that next time i feel like ordering pizza and other stuff, i would order it from Pizza Hut ...the one that never dissapoints me...If i wanted to order pizza only, then Sarpino's would be alright but the side dishes were horrible in my opinion and it doesn't worth the money.

I remembered i bought a single slice of Sarpino's pizza from the Suntec City for takeaway and Dh and i were blown away by it's taste but the pizza that we ordered for home delivery cannot compete that....I think i would stick to Pizza Hut when comes to home delivery.

We all have good legs to walk.

Last week, as usual we bought Bandung drink to be shared by 4 of us while walking our way home from Mrt. So while walking, Aniq asked his father this, " Ayah, ada money...beli Car!"
Then his Ayah told him, " Car.... ayah takde...tapi Carki (kaki) ada...now JLN!! hahaha.........

Having a car of course will be so much convenient but i love love love walking.....maybe i like to count that as part of my exercise and healthy lifestyle since i don't jog now.....Dh always wanted to get a car but i am a little reserved about that because i rather have more money on hand to enjoy since our flat is not that far from MRT....Well, that's just my thoughts for now.....

What makes me simmers?

When i got mad/stress/ or depressed, i would try to cope by ............

1) taking wudhu and solat

2) just randomly choose a new recipe and starts cooking or baking

3) watching my favourite movie or rent a new movie

4) solving sudoku (this really works especially when i kept picturing a 'hated' person in my mind and focusing on numbers really diverts that)

5) eating either chocolate(my no.1 comfort food) or potato chips and it instantly makes me feel better.

6) buy any new magazine to read.

7) window shopping or buy something that makes me happy (no need to be expensive stuff)

8) blogging about my feelings and if i feel bad about it...i would erase it the next day but after pouring it out once, i felt better. Or even better, write about in my private diary.

9) trying to stay positive and remember everything happens for a reason and remind myself that i'm not the only person having problems.

10) even if i'm powerless to change the situation, i'll remind myself that i'm responsible of my reaction on how to respond to it.

Easier said than done? Then you can go ahead run like a mad woman, screaming and kicking till someone calls the police......lol.....
After we all just human, rite....hahahaha (just kidding).

My spring collection 2010.

This is Aliah's dress that i made for her for spring (haha like real...bunyi mcm mana punyer designer je..lol). Actually Dh picked out the fabric..because i am never good with floral stuff..Newsflash: i'm a plain jane type of girl but headstrong.
It took me about 4-5 days to put this together and Aliah already wore it on Saturday for the ceramah that we attended at Darul Makmur.
This is just random stuff........
Lately I've been craving for long floral dress because i just noticed that i don't have a single dress in my wardrobe ...YIKES! And as much i claimed that i love pink ...i also just realised that i don't own any pink blouse...WHAT"S GOING ON??
I have to make sure that i will shop better and smarter in Bangkok and shop like no other....
woohoo!

Our last weekends.

Trained Aniq to be our photograher so Dh and i can have more pictures together. And it turned out not bad at all. He gained more confidence compared the last time.
Aliah wore this brown/bronze hairband for the first time after i bought it recently and it looked great on her!

Stike a manja pose!

After our meal at Arnold's, we ordered ice kacang which has a scoop if ice-cream on the peak.
It's ok overall except the ice was a little more coarse and grainy compared the usual one.

I didn't know that Tanjong Katon complex would put up a chinese new year theme decoration just right outside their mall .

Practise makes perfect

I had just finished making Aliah a simple pant suit which meant for her ngaji class on this coming Saturday since she doesn't has many muslimah clothing. Well i can't help it when i see so many girls her age wearing cute muslimah outfit. And this will be a practise for my sewing skill before making Hari Raya clothes for this year...I will post the picture of the suit this Saturday.

Yesterday, i went to a movie date with Dh after sending the kids to school...Since we only have 4hr, we went to the nearest Eng wah one since we still have credits left in the movie card (which i don't really recomend to anyone because i don't like Eng wah's system and don't get me started). I don't really intend to watch 'Santau' at first but it was the only show that started the earliest. So we watched it for 1hr plus and i was surprised that the movie was quite good actually. But after that, Dh and i were wondering whether is there really such a person who is so sore and so evil that he would actually use blackmagic just to feel satisfied...Come on...GET A LIFE!! I really hope that there is no such a person like that and not to mention 'syirik'...Astargfirullah...iihsk iihsk iishk......

Roti Boyan

Once a while, i would crave for this ....the difference i made which taught by my mum is we don't deep fry the Roti Boyan but only to fry it with minimal usage of oil. But it could be deep fry too if i want it to be ....just choosing the healthier version to enjoy my meal.
