Preschoolers and fear

I just found out that Aliah has anxiety problem which actually common among preschoolers especially girls . Yesterday morning, their teacher busy collecting money from parents who were just outside the classroom for the graduation thingy fees..And all the kids were standing there waiting for their teacher to do routine checks.(like taking temperature, checking their mouth and hands).

Then Aliah started crying telling me that she wanted to go to toilet. But when i brought her, she did'nt do it. At first, i was pissed then i noticed she was trembling a little.
Her reaction was familiar to me somehow then i hugged her and told her it's ok and don't be scared.
When i saw most of the parents have left, i brought Aliah out to her teacher, Miss Lin to do the routine check. I told Miss lin that maybe Aliah has anxiety thing going on and she agreed. She said Aliah is afraid of unsual crowd or being left uninstructed and etc. I'm really glad that she know Aliah quite well actually.

So i surfed the Web for information and i got this..

Preschoolers and fear
It's normal for a preschooler to be fearful. After all, anxiety is a natural condition that helps us cope with new experiences and protects us from danger. Some 3- and 4-year-olds are frightened of very specific things: bugs, dogs, the dark, or clowns. Other kids are afraid of new situations or meeting new people. Certain fears are particularly prevalent during the preschool years because a child's highly active imagination may make him worry about make-believe creatures, his (and your) health, death, disaster, and pain. Most of your preschooler's fears will fade as he becomes more secure in himself and his environment.

I believe Aliah scared of unusual crowd will fall under category of afraid of new situations. (Highlight in pink)

Apparently these fears are just temporary so ...that took a load off my mind.
